Why Visit Gulmarg?

1

World-Class Skiing

Asia's longest cable car — the Gulmarg Gondola — lifts you to 3,979m over runs that rival European ski resorts. Gulmarg hosts national ski championships and regularly draws international skiers.

2

Meadows of Extraordinary Beauty

Gulmarg literally means 'Meadow of Flowers'. In spring and summer, the bowl is carpeted with wildflowers — daisies, forget-me-nots, and buttercups — against a backdrop of snow-streaked peaks.

3

The Famous Gondola

The Gulmarg Gondola operates in two phases — Phase 1 to Kongdori (2,622m) and Phase 2 to Apharwat Peak (3,979m). The views from the top are among the most dramatic in the Himalayas.

4

Golf at the Roof of the World

The Gulmarg Golf Course is one of the world's highest at 2,650m. Established in 1891, it's a 18-hole course with jaw-dropping views. A truly unique sporting experience.

5

Gateway to Alpine Adventures

Gulmarg is the base for some of Kashmir's finest treks — including routes to Khilanmarg, Alpather Lake, and the Ferozpur Nallah. Summer trekking here is in a class of its own.
